"A friend is someone that walks in when the rest of the world walks out"

** WARNING-Picture overload!**

I was thinking about this on my way home from my BFF Tiffany's house tonight (it's tuesday- which means Glee and treat night) I have seriously been friends with Tiffany since I was born, 22 years ago. Her mom and my sister were best friends and lived across the street from each other. So when she was born in May of 1988 and I was born in July of 88- we were "forced" to be friends as we like to joke but really it all worked out for the best. We have been through it all- her moving away, us going to different schools, her constantly biting me when we were little (she had little buck teeth that she just loved to crunch into people), me punching her in the nose (for the biting- obviously) I was there on her wedding day and she was there on mine and now that she is about to have her first baby any day now and seeing as how it is the wonderful month of being thankful- I wanted to take a moment to be thankful for Tiffany Lynne. I can't believe that both of us are married and one of us will be a mommy any day now! I know she will be an awesome mommy and I can't wait to be an auntie to my little monkey

Haha I love you!

This is one of my favorites! It's so classic tiff and trina

I love this one too!

Back when it all started...look at those buck teeth! RAWR!

Is it sad??

Is it sad that I just want to do crafty things all the live long day? seriously! I went on another adventure with dear Jamie today. By adventure I mean a trip to the DI, well actually two DI's. We hit a small jackpot at the DI in Sandy because both Jamie and I found something! YAY! more to come on those... got you excited huh? you thought I was actually going to tell you what we bought! HA! But we did start work on one of my projects. I am beyond excited....like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning. Spray paint is going to rock my world for the next little while. I want to be working on these projects all the time- I wish we had like a big ole shop with everything we needed and we could just go to town on this stuff. I have seriously enjoyed having this time before the holidays to just relax after work and on weekends to do my own thing. In the past I have always had school and homework but it feels good to take a break and do something that I actually want to do! I bet you can't wait for pictures right? yeah me either! stay tuned kids-it's gettin fun!

MY FAVORITE NEW "HOT SPOT"!!

blogger lessons 101??

Am I the only one that is just not amazing at figuring out how to do all these crazy, creative and beautiful things to their blog? I think I would really love this that much more if I knew everything I was doing...a little help out there please from the 5 of you I know in the blogging world. On a positive note, my delightful friend Jamie has turned me onto following this awesome blog betterafter.blogspot.com. The creator of this blog gets all these pictures and stories from other people out there of totally hideous (but cheap *keyword*) things such as furniture, lighting fixtures, old dated kitchens. She shows you what they looked like before and then the awesome after pics. It makes me feel inspired to do a little of that myself... we will see how this works out haha. I always start off strong on something and then it fades unless I can really really get into it. But Jamie has an empty garage to use as a workspace and a creative brain so I am hoping she will help keep me goin'! I will keep you updated! I was also thinking about re-doing the color/ design of our bedroom (not that it has any real design to begin with) but I was thinking about the colors grey, yellow and black...with hints of white. Know of any good grey and yellow bed sets or decorations?? Our downstairs is officially done, decorated and painted ( victory dance....woot woot!) I will post pics of that soon. Now I just need to get the three rooms and two bathrooms upstairs done...blah! Getting excited for the holiday season even though I dont have any money or decorations, just excited for the warm feeling and the holiday spirit! I love sitting by a Christmas tree with a blanket and hot chocolate! I can't believe we are already in November!!

John Mayer my other love

On Tuesday August 31st my wonderful husband took me to see John Mayer. Colby is not the biggest fan of anything John Mayer related but he knows how much I love me some JM so he suffered while I had the time of my life. I seriously lost my voice from screaming all night and singing along with all the songs (and I do mean ALL the songs- it's an addiction people) John is just as amazing live as he sounds on the radio and he is so talented when it comes to playing guitar- even my JM hating, guitar loving husband was impressed! He played my FAVORITE song of all time- "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" after that song I knew it was going to be an amazing concert. Here are some pics of my JM being the amazingly talented man that he is!

So happy to be there!!

Engagements!

My wonderful sister Jodie took our engagements with the awesome camera that Colby and I bought. We edited a couple of them before we sent them out but there are some on here that I just love that we didnt put in our invitations. I love this first one- it's such a funny picture because Colby does the whole squish face kiss thing in pictures sometimes but it usually doesnt turn out cute. I always look like I am disgusted at him or really surprised so I was so happy when this one turned out actually kind of cute! I can't wait to get our wedding pictures back!

Bridal Shower!!

A little late getting this up but these are pics from my bridal shower that my wonderful bridesmaids Jamie and Brooke threw for me. It was super cute, Brooke had her amazing salsa there and Jamie had the most bomb diggity treats ( hello brownies with tiffany blue icing on them and awesome funfetti cupcakes) Maria got to come before she got married and moved away to Pennsylvania yay! I got some amazing things and realized how well my friends know me and my love for wine haha.

Thanks for the shower Ladies! I loved it!!

Work People!
See the yummy treats?!?!?!

engagements and interior decorating

We took some engagements this past week- they turned out pretty cute! sidenote-- I hate when you are trying to work with the natural light and its not cooperating! Also, trying to walk around in a field with a dress on...NOT A GOOD IDEA. I got little sticker things all over me. Lately since we have had our couch--ourWHOLEsectional I should say (angry fist raise in R.C. Willey's name) I have become obsessed with decorating our house, which for the most part it is decorated but not everything is painted. What we do have painted we did ourselves and I think thats why we are so worn out on painting.... it sucks! Wealso have rounded corners in our house too which makes painting just one area very difficult. I just hate looking at white walls and thinking "ugh the house looks like its not finished" Same goes for our bedroom, the "clutter" just makes it look messy and not like the pictures in magazines. I know, I know what you are all thinking- no house looks like the pictures in the magazines without tons of money. But now I am on a quest! to make our house look amazing without the amazing price tag. We have made it look a lot differentthanwhen we first bought it but its still a work in progress. These are the updates on what we have done so far.. you like?

The kitchen before...

The kitchen after....
I will keep you all updated on how its going.. we are a little farther than this now because these were taken when we first moved in about 3 months ago.

Wedding Crunch

So I am at about 59 days or so until our big day... Holy cow do I feel like the walls are caving in on me! Wedding planning is a full time job, especially if you are me. I am somewhat of a perfectionist so every little thing has to be planned down to the smallest detail (please give a pat on the back to my soon-to-be husband, he has his work cut out for him) I decided to take classes this summer- why? because I like torture. I am also working full-time, again I love me some torture. We reserved the tuxedos the other day- victory yell- WOOT WOOT! they are going to look so good. Colby's mom Stef found a screaming deal on the ones I wanted, beautiful. My wonderful bridesmaid Jamie Lynne searched, found, and ordered the most adorable shoes for all the bridesmaids. I got to see them with a final look on Baylee this weekend (spoiler- the bridemaids are going to look fantastic!!! but thats no surprise really) Now I need to find a monogram cake topper that doesnt cost one hundred dollars, any ideas? We are taking our engagements sometime this week with the help of my wonderful sister. I don't know how some brides can plan a wedding in less than nine months- that is how much time I have had and I have needed every day! I can't wait to marry my boo, I wish for his sake we would have just gotten married on the beach because I think my wedding stress is carrying over to him! haha poor guy!
